Within a few well-honed sentences we are drawn into the scenario. A thought provoking tale of old fashioned values and loyalty.

Sure enjoyed your short story. I shared it and ended up discussing the choices of the boy, the parents, the old man, what ifs. Anyone who can write and elicit thoughts and debate is a fantastic writer in my books. Not many people can do that. We loved it!

I found this story to be very well written and thought out. It paints in the mind of the reader a vivid picture of the battles and of Boudicea in her chariot with her hair flowing behind her. It displays an in-depth understanding of the history of Boudicea, a queen of the British Celtic Iceni tribe who led an uprising against the conquering forces of the Roman Empire in AD 60 or 61.

M. Byers.   Portaferry, N. Ireland

I truly enjoyed this historical story and was disappointed not to read what happened to Boudicea as she rode of in her war chariot. Perhaps I am to make my own conclusions that this strong brave woman never survived. A story that questions values and strengths.
