Writers Conferences
Attending conferences is not new, for me. It was always part of the job requirements: to share the results of my research or teaching methods; to network; to become more informed. And, of course, to have fun. And they were fun!
Mentorship
I knew I needed help with my writing. I knew I wasn’t telling the story well enough but I didn’t know how or where to start to improve it. I didn’t know I needed a mentor until one turned up.
Inspiring Authors
My first visit to Edmonton’s Script Salon was on November 10th, a cold, icy night. The Script Salon is a monthly play reading series held on the second Sunday of the month and starts at 7.30. My friend and I arrived three quarters of an hour early because, having read the invitation weeks ahead, I hadn’t remembered the start time correctly.
